The Phantom, our tactical chronograph, was created in cooperation with some of the nation's leading military and law enforcement trainers, Special Forces members, and Green Berets. Its name highlights the fact that it features a black stainless steel case and matching black stainless steel bracelet. As such, it is not only optimally disguised among the black tactical equipment and clothes worn by these professionals, it is also the most recognizable Kobold watch when worn with civilian clothes.
The Phantom?s case was milled from a solid block of surgical stainless steel and then coated black using DLC technology to ensure a deep black color and scratch resistance. The coating of the case is so well-applied that the Phantom is actually more scratch resistant than our non-DLC stainless steel Soarway case. Its unidirectional rotating bezel features a count-down minute scale -for use in forceful entry and other tactical scenarios- that is easily operated while wearing tactical gloves. On special request and at no additional charge, the bezel can also be ordered with a count-up minute scale (for pilots or divers). Its crown and screw-down push pieces were also designed for easy use with gloves. For sharpshooters and snipers who use seconds as their primary time reference, the chronograph hands are red-lacquered to ensure optimum legibility.
The Phantom Tactical Chronograph comes on a black DLC-coated Soarway bracelet. The bracelet is screw-locked preventing the watch from being torn off the wrist in the event of a strong impact or hostile struggle. The Phantom arrives in a Kobold collector's box, designed to hold three timepieces.
