Arctic Diver

 Polar explorers and ice divers alike have long influenced the design of Kobold watches. In keeping with its polar heritage, Kobold is launching the Arctic Diver, a wrist instrument of enormous proportions. With a 45 mm-wide case, fashioned from surgical-grade stainless steel, the Arctic Diver is among the largest Kobold watches. Produced entirely in the United States, the case of the Arctic Diver sits prominently on its wearer's wrist, with a thickness of 16 mm. Its uni-directional rotating bezel is engraved with a minute scale and its crown, caseback, and lug bars are screw-locked. 

A large, domed and extra-thick sapphire crystal protects the minimalist dial, with its luminous hour markers and hands. Inside the Arctic Diver ticks a so-called manufacture movement, caliber K.2651. This in-house movement is based on a vintage new-old-stock German-made movement dating back to the 1960s which has been updated extensively with U.S.-made components. 

Like all Kobold watches that consist mainly of U.S.-made components, the Arctic Diver is covered by a 5-year warranty against material defects and faulty craftsmanship. The watch comes on a natural rubber strap with signed and screw-locked buckle.
