The SEAL USA combines a U.S.-made case with a Kobold in-house movement.
Its unique design elements, with its outsized proportions and robust look and feel, have made the Kobold SEAL a legendary timekeeper. Since its release in 2004, the SEAL has been the most popular Kobold divers' watch.
Crafted from surgical-grade stainless steel, the case of this solid wrist instrument is rated water resistant to a depth of 3,300 feet (1,000 meters). Inside the case, a secondary case made from soft iron protects the movement against magnetic interference to a rate of up to 80,000 A/m. An extra-thick domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, which has been treated with an anti-U.V. solution that prevents fading and ensures that this watch will look good for years.
The dial is available in matte-finish black or in glossy-finish Arctic Blue. The latest-generation SuperLuminova on the hour markers and hands ensures optimal legibility in dark environments thanks to extended luminescence.
The SEAL is powered by a so-called manufacture movement, caliber K.2651. This in-house movement is based on a vintage new-old-stock German-made movement dating back to the 1960s which has been updated extensively by Kobold using U.S.-made components.
Like all Kobold watches that consist mainly of U.S.-made components, the SEAL USA is covered by a 5-year warranty against material defects and faulty craftsmanship.
